Hi there folks! I am hoping this blog can be a space for me to debunk a lot of the left wing propaganda that's out there in the blogosphere. Furthermore, I am glad to have access to a network of like-minded, intelligent, thoughtful, conservative ideologues like myself who are very concerned with the direction our country is headed (a sharp left turn!). God help America. Amen.
With my first post, I would like to address the whole issue of Ms. Sarah Palin's wardrobe shopping adventure that the biased left wing media (except for Lou Dobbs (gosh, that man is almost my hero, his teeth are just so....perfect)) has blown completely out of proportion. Firstly, the fact that she spent $150,000 on clothing is not that big of a deal because of the fact that Alaska is not exactly a bastion of fashion worthy of a VP Nominee. If we want a GOP VP Nominee to be convincing in her effort to convert all the undecideds over to our side then we can't expect that she'll be successful in the moosehide ponchos that they sell in Alaska. No one would take her seriously. To be a credible candidate, Ms. Palin needs to look the part of a VP. That means lots of expensive clothes from Neimann Marcus. I don't know why the media don't understand this. I mean, how expensive do they think those suits are that Obama runs around in? The guy had to spend some money too, because there's no way he would be a credible threat for the presidency (and I mean THREAT) if he was running around trying to get votes wearing some kind of burqua or other muslim turban or bedsheet or headress.
Secondly, as Ms. Palin said today in her speech (can't remember exactly where it was - Ohio???) those clothes don't belong to her. They belong to the Republican National Committee. The next time a Republican Presidential Nominee picks a women as a running mate, she will get to wear all the threads that Ms. Palin bought on her (let's face it, inconsequential) shopping spree. It's the core of Republican frugality. We are efficient, cost saving anti-spending, cost-conscious people who want to save money where ever possible. We don't go and propose trillions of dollars of spending to buy votes from hard working Americans. No, we hand down clothes from one presidential race to the next.
Thirdly, even if she didn't need the duds and she wasn't passing them on to the next Republican female VP Nominee, Ms. Palin needs those clothes because, lets face it, she's HOT. How better to convince the young undecided, politically unengaged citizens of this great country that by being a hot hockey mom all done up to the nines in spiffy duds that show off her figure at those peppy townhalls. Nice work RNC, I applaud your decision buy her those clothes. As they told me in Business School, it's a "sunk cost" now, can't return them once they're worn. And Ms. Palin, I even hope you get to keep 'em when you go back to the great State of Alaska when this election business is all said and done.
Until next time, those are Mott's Thoughts for now!
